Home fragrance development company, S&N Home Products has gone from strength to strength since securing a small growth grant from Dorset Growth Hub.

The company, which is based in Sturminster Newton manufactures home fragrance products: diffusers, candles, potpourri, refresher oils and room sprays for its own retail range as well as contract manufacturers for leading retail brands.

With manufacturing sites in the UK, China and India as well as a stock holding facility in the UK, they offer a niche and unique service to their customers including market trends, store audits, design and fragrance proposals.

The grant from Dorset Growth Hub

The company’s growth was all made possible by a grant they secured from Dorset Growth Hub of £5,000 in 2021. This went towards a £25,000 project to transform their manufacturing approach and help recover from the COVID-19 project.

As a result of the project S&N has been able to be logistically nimble and win new business and significantly expand their team in the three international locations.

Tiffany Connor (Director) commented on the ease of applying for the grant,

“To be honest, we were cautious at first about embarking on seeking grant finance from DGH. We thought it may be overbearing in terms of effort. However, we had an informative discussion with a DGH advisor and they gave us the confidence to proceed. The process from there was simple and straightforward with the advisor steering us through the process. I’m so glad we went for it and would recommend any business looking to make a significant capital investment has a chat with them”.
