As part of the Transformational Business Team, I offer business owners help and advice on growing their businesses and overcoming blockers.

Originally this was in the South East and now I work on a Dorset LEP-funded programme. I find it fascinating that whatever the size of the business, the blockers to growth are often similar and in most cases the answer straightforward.

With a media background, I enjoy discussions around marketing ideas and strategy and always believe there is a place for fun in marketing a product or service.

In the past, I have been an estate agent, mortgage broker and then spent over 20 years as a radio presenter, which was my dream from the age of 11.

I have a keen interest in business and have been a volunteer at Dorchester Chamber for Business for 11 years and organise the big Christmas event in Dorchester annually.

Away from business, I volunteer at the Swanage steam railway as an on-train ticket inspector. Having studied drama at college I see it as acting! With the costume, I guess I resemble the averaged size controller from Thomas the Tank Engine. It’s wonderful to see generations travelling and relishing the nostalgia.
