Coronavirus has reminded us of the importance of community, with local charities and community groups playing a key role in supporting people affected by the crisis.
A grant of over £4000 has been awarded from the National Emergencies Trust (NET) to WSX Developments and Aldershot Enterprise Centre to help those in need in the Rushmoor area.
The funding has been made available from the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and is being administered by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF).
Aldershot Enterprise Centre offers managed workspace and business start-up support to new entrepreneurs in North Hampshire and Surrey and this grant will allow any Rushmoor Borough residents to access free office space and support to start a new business.
Peter Grant, Chief Executive of WSX Developments, said “In the current economic climate, many people will take the opportunity to start their own business.
To be able to offer free office space and business support in our Aldershot Enterprise Centre to people in the Rushmoor area will help immensely.
We are very grateful the DCMS, NET and HIWCF for providing this funding, giving people a new start and make a real difference to their lives.”
