Dorset Growth Hub co-hosts networking event with creative retail agency
Dorset Growth Hub co-hosted an event earlier in the summer for product businesses with Mauveworx Ltd on the Ferndown Industrial Estate. They are a 100-strong creative retail agency working with household names like Specsavers, L’Oréal, Lakeland & Krispy Kreme. Their capabilities are broad, and they have recently launched their own products too and kindly gave the Dorset Growth Hub and 10 local business a tour of their expansive premises.
This was a new type of event, for business owners to meet like-minded consumer product champions, share products and business journeys as well as get some ideas of a larger business’s operations.
Starting with coffees and cinnamon buns from the wonderful Grounded Dorset, attendees then sat down for round-the-room introductions where attendees brought product samples so the group could get to grips with what everyone did.
Then there was a tour from James Martin, the MD of Mauveworx who talked through a project from start to finish, from creative teams, cardboard engineers, to printing, fulfilment and sales – and everyone received personalised Krispy Kreme donuts at the end – which was a great touch!
With great feedback from this first event, Dorset Growth Hub is currently in the process of planning the second and look forward to hosting more of these collaborative events.
