This workshop is part of a series of new workshops called “New Business Success Programme”.

Can I attend?
The workshop is aimed at new businesses trading for less than 12 months however any business that feels they would benefit can attend.
To register for the workshop you must be a registered business (Limited Company or sole trader) in Dorset and can prove this with a company number and registration date or the letter from HMRC confirming your sole trader status (and start date if this is within the last 12 months).
There is one place available for each proposed business.

Why should I attend?
There are so many choices for you to consider when marketing your new business, and it can feel like a minefield in the early days. Often new businesses can spread their marketing budget, time and energy too thinly across too many activities without considering what they’ll gain from them. This course will help you start to clarify which key initiatives to focus on for your new business, and help you plan out your marketing throughout the year, ensuring the purpose of each activity is clear and the results are measurable.

What will I learn?
The first steps are to understand your market and your customers (highlighting where you have gaps in your knowledge and how you can complete them), so you communicate your story to the right audience.
• We’ll help you understand your particular ‘customer journey’ and how you can create loyal returning customers and brand ambassadors who will recommend you.
• You’ll look at how to build a prospect list and develop a sales pipeline with key objectives, so you can start creating a steady flow of sales.
• You’ll consider how to provide outstanding customer service and delight your customers, so you can maximize customer referrals and reviews.
In this interactive workshop, we’ll share ideas and resources to help you move forward in creating a successful business. And you’ll leave with an individual action plan to help you keep the momentum flowing following on from the workshop.
