Hosted by Inspiring Enterprise partner Surrey Community Action, this event is ideal for people starting their business, or new to business, who are looking to improve their networking skills.
Please join us to find out why networking is beneficial to your business, the different types of networking, what to do and what NOT to do when you attend a networking event, and where to find suitable networking events for you.
We will also be looking at how to create a compelling elevator pitch – a short, concise description of your business idea – which is a key element when attending networking events to quickly get your message across. We will talk about what is important to include, how to ‘build’ an appealing pitch and what tone to use. You will be able to write your elevator pitch using our worksheet and if you are brave enough you can show yours off to the other attendees!
We will also be joined by Stephen Barney, from Elevated Photography, who will be giving all attendees the opportunity to have their professional headshots taken. You will receive an electronic version of the photos which you will be able to use on your own marketing materials.
There will be refreshments and a free lunch provided.
Please note: This event is for participants of the Inspiring Enterprise Project only. For more information on how to join the project contact the team on 0800 140 4537.
