Have you launched a new business recently and struggling to manage all the activities you have to undertake, all by yourself? There are so many hats you need to wear when running a business by yourself it can be a real challenge.
Then register for a FREE place on our brand new “Manage my Business” workshop.
This workshop is part of a series of new workshops called “New Business Success Programme”.

Can I attend?
The workshop is aimed at new businesses trading for less than 12 months however any business that feels they would benefit can attend.
To register for the workshop you must be a registered business (Limited Company or sole trader) in Dorset and can prove this with a company number and registration date or the letter from HMRC confirming your sole trader status (and start date if this is within the last 12 months).
There is one place available for each proposed business.

Why should I attend?
Starting a business is without a doubt one of the biggest steps you will have taken in your life. Now that you have written your business plan, developed your brand, targeted your market and begun developing customer loyalty, your new business should be heading in the right direction.
One thing you will have discovered is that you now have a wardrobe full of hats to wear. Some of these hats are very comfortable and very easy to wear. Some on the other hand are not so easy to wear and if you are not careful, they will get pushed to the back of the wardrobe.

What will I learn?
In this workshop, we want to help you learn the rhythm of your business and how to best start moving with it. You will begin to evaluate the seasonality of your business and how to start planning in the less attractive parts of your business so that they do not become a critical weakness.
You will do some self-evaluation exercises, mapping what you really enjoy about your business through to the parts that feel less inclined to engage with. You will also look at how to make the most of the seasonality in your business to help you be more effective. This workshop will help you with prioritisation, effective short, medium and long term planning and how to avoid becoming a fire-fighter in your business. It will also help you develop in the areas of the business you enjoy least and ensure that these areas don’t impede the growth of your business.
