Young Entrepreneur – Introduction to self-employment

Find out what it is like to run your own business!

If you are between 16 and 25 and not go to work, this might be something for you.

Earn your own money, be your own boss. We will help you with a business idea, look at the things you need to think through and make sure it works.

This is a European funded project which will help you to discover your skills and talents and advise you on how to choose a type of business you could run in the future. The project will guide you through all the stages of a business set up and give you confidence and knowledge needed when you are self-employed or when you are working for someone else.

This first session explains the aims of the ‘Speed You Up’ project such as identifying skills and talents, choosing a career path and then advising on setting up a business.

After this introductory webinar, we will be running 4 more sessions to get you started. These will give you an opportunity to ask questions, hear from others who are running businesses and make sure you are fully prepared. The dates are every Tuesday in February: 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd, and the session will run from 10.00-11.30.

If you attend all 5 sessions you will receive a certificate of the course completion. You will be able to add the course to your CV as well.

This event has certain eligibility criteria that need to be met for participation:

1. Are you aged 16 to 25? YES 2.Are you employed? NO
