The Education Business Partnership South in Hampshire is always looking to recruit more volunteers from both the private and public sectors to assist students with their business skills and knowledge with in-school career workshops.
WSX Enterprise is a natural fit for this as we are always keen to support young people in schools as they prepare for higher education, the workplace and even on to running their own businesses.
Peter Grant, CEO of WSX Enterprise, who is always keen to support students who may be budding entrepreneurs of the future is happy to get involved,
“I’m delighted to give up a few days of the year to help the students who can range in age from 15 – 18 and who are always a joy to work with! At WSX, we have such a diverse range of business advisers who are well-placed to help the youth of today think about their futures and help them build their confidence.”
The workshops cover a range of subjects which help students think about the world of work in a fun way and activities cover activities such as:
Speed Networking – gives students an understanding of different workplaces as well as building their employability skills e.g., confidence and communication skills.
Mock Interviews – enables students to have feedback on their communication skills, body language etc.
Interview Preparation – You will deliver and run an interactive workshop on Body Language, Interview Questions, Interview Scenarios or CVs.
Inspiring Futures – a day workshop that gives students the chance to see and try out a broad range of different career options and develop a better understanding of the career choices available to them locally
